Support

Something not working, or a question the site doesn't answer? Start with the common fixes below. If none of them help, get in touch.

Contact

Email support@punctual-app.com. Say which version of Punctual you have (select it in Applications and press ⌘I) and which macOS version you're on, and describe what you expected to happen and what happened instead.

Found a bug? You can also open an issue on GitHub. Issues are public, so leave out anything from your calendar you'd rather keep private.

Sign-in

Nothing happens when I click "Sign in with Google." Punctual opens Google's sign-in page in a secure browser sheet. If the sheet doesn't appear, quit Punctual from the power button in its menu and open it again.

Punctual says I'm signed out. This happens if you revoked access at myaccount.google.com/permissions or changed your Google password. Sign in again from Settings.

Meetings

A calendar is missing. Punctual shows the calendars that are ticked in the sidebar of Google Calendar on the web. Tick the calendar there, and Punctual picks it up within a minute.

A meeting has no Join button. Punctual recognizes Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex links in the event's conferencing details, location, or description. Links to other services don't get a Join button.

All-day events and declined meetings don't appear. Punctual skips them on purpose, since there's nothing to be on time for.

The full-screen alert

Changing when the alert appears. Open Settings from the gear icon in Punctual's menu and pick when the alert shows: when the meeting starts, or 1, 2, or 5 minutes before.

The alert didn't show. Check that Punctual is still running (its countdown is in the menu bar) and that you're signed in. Punctual refreshes your calendar every minute and when your Mac wakes from sleep, so a meeting added moments before it starts can arrive just after the alert time.

Launch at login

Turn on Launch at login in Settings. If it doesn't stay on, check that Punctual is allowed under System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions.

Uninstalling

Quit Punctual from its menu and move it from Applications to the Trash. To remove its access to your Google account as well, revoke it at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Requirements

macOS 14.4 or later, and a Google account.
